Both are Dark and elven cultures, and it's possible to avoid fighting both factions by staying on their good sides. The two other factions on the surface are Meandor of House Inioch, and his former lover Melenis the Lifeless. Players get a starting boost to relations with Sylvani since she's happy to see another living soul in a land full of the undead, but after that, it's up to players to improve relations with her and draw her into an alliance. To the east is Sylvani Laurel, leader of the Auldweald Elves. Meandor is also part of House Inioch, and he brought back the spirits of Sundren's father and brother as the leaders of free cities that spawn close to the player's starting location.įortunately, the player faction isn't the last of the living souls in this realm. The main reason Sundren is part of the player faction is because of her personal connection to the tragedy of the Eternal Court. At the same time, she doesn't count against the usual hero cap. She follows orders like any other hero unit, and she can even be a governor for a city. This is because players start the scenario with Sundren as a free hero who works for the player faction. One of the off-limits factions is Sundren of House Inioch, whom players first meet in the Valley of Wonders. Most elfkin races are also off-limits because they feature as rival factions in the realm. The player faction is once again on the side of the Covenant, so none of the Shad'rai leaders are options. It makes clearing wonders and defeating free cities much harder than normal.Īside from that, the scenario has a few factions players can't choose. The unit doesn't get to act on this turn, making it easy to take down again, but this extra wrinkle can make it much harder to refocus on other units. When one of these units die on the battlefield, it gets back up on the next turn with 20 percent of its health. The Curse of Undeath affects every neutral unit, meaning every random marauder, infestation army, and free city. Second, Low Population means that free cities are less common than normal. First, Rampant Undeath means that marauder units are more likely to be undead than not. Makes it easier to deal with the scaling production cost.Įdit: forgot to mention: the first several times I tried this scenario, i intended to grind Turiel's cities and vassals into dust, but it simply wasn't feasible for me because his units all start out so buff and it was a constant exercise in frustration. The Eternal Court has three realm traits that make it stand out. Oh and also: once i had 3 cities (all underground), I put the seed in my weakest/furthest away city, the root in the next, and the heart in my throne city. Oh and make good use of those teleport improvements! put them close to your seed/heart/root. It might be worth placing a defended outpost or two on the surface between the underground passage and Turiel's domain because, like a dope, Turiel could have walked past but instead he sieged my outpost for like 5 turns with 6 stacks when i had only 5 turns left on my countdown. Then i started my countdown immediately and Turiel's forces never even reached me. Then Nimue (ally) started a Nature countdown (I had my Order countdown ready to go but couldn't once Nimue started), but after ~8 turns they failed it too. At one point Turiel reached the Order countdown and i began mobilizing to pillage the closest improvement, but he paused at 12 turns remaining and i guess the invading neutral army pillaged him (didn't have line of sight, so i dont know exactly what happened). i picked the pyroclastic boon (where enemy provinces blow up every couple of turns). Like others have said, I went underground and played very defensively and focused on knowledge.

2.1 How to Download the Install File for Synology Drive Client The steps below will walk you through the process of configuring the Synology Drive Client. Since Team Folders are synced to multiple people, I highly recommend that you keep versioning on. This will enable the document and allow it to be used on clients that install Synology’s Drive Server application.ģ. Open Synology Drive Admin Console on your Synology NAS. When an item is created, modified, or deleted, the change is automatically synced to the NAS and all devices connected to the Team Folder will automatically sync the change as well. This ensures that all files, for all users, stay up to date with the version on the Synology NAS.ġ. As mentioned above, Team Folders are shared across users and allow multiple users to collaborate on individual documents. My Drive is now set up! Every user will have an individual folder (inside of homes) where they can store their personal files and they will be the only ones that can access it! 1.3 Team Folder Configuration – How to Set Up Synology DriveĮnabling a Team Folder is a little easier than setting up My Drive since the folder already exists with the necessary permissions. We will get into this a little later, but keep this in mind.ħ. After you save, you will be informed that users with read-only permission to Team Folders will only sync files from the NAS, and not to the NAS. This will allow you to retrieve each version of the file up to the maximum number of versions you specified.Ħ. These settings are personal preferences, but it’s probably a good idea to keep versioning on. Go back to the Synology Drive Admin Console and set up versions. This will create two new shared folders on your Synology NAS named home and homes. Inside the homes folder, you will see that a folder is created for every user on your NAS.ĥ. Since this will be used for documents, I suggest that you Enable Recycle Bin as well ( Control Panel > Shared Folder > homes > Edit > Enable Recycle Bin > Save). Scroll to the bottom and Enable user home service. Select Yes to access the Control Panel.Ĥ. If the User Home is disabled (under Status), you’ll have to enable it.ģ. Open Synology Drive Admin Console on your Synology NAS and select Team Folder. 1.2 My Drive – Synology Drive Server Setupġ. This requires the User Home to be enabled but allows users to select folders from their local PC and automatically sync them to their PC. My Drive, on the other hand, will sync a user’s local folders to a Synology NAS linked to their user account. Think of this option as the ability to give multiple users access to a central folder where they can all add/edit/delete files/folders with changes automatically syncing to all users. This will give users the ability to collaborate using a specific folder stored on the Synology NAS. In Synology Drive Server, you can manage one folder shared amongst a team by using the Team Folder option. Synology Drive Server is now installed! 1.1 Team Folder & My Drive – How to Set Up Synology Drive Server You will be prompted to refresh the page. After the package has been installed, select Open. If you are informed that there are dependencies that must be installed, select Yes.ģ. Open the Package Center and install the Synology Driver Server application.Ģ. We will look at how to set up Synology Drive below.ġ. 2.4 How to Configure a Backup Task – How to Set Up Synology Drive.2.3 Setting up Multiple Sync Folders – How to Set Up Synology Drive.2.2.1 On-Demand Sync for Windows & macOS.2.2 Synology Drive Client Setup – Sync Task.2.1 How to Download the Install File for Synology Drive Client.1.3 Team Folder Configuration – How to Set Up Synology Drive.1.2 My Drive – Synology Drive Server Setup.1.1 Team Folder & My Drive – How to Set Up Synology Drive Server. So what’s next for Dynevor? She says Bridgerton has led to some “exciting” conversations and she is particularly keen on securing film roles, where she knows her character has a definitive, self-contained story arc. “By the time they were like, ‘You’re going to be number one on a call sheet of a Netflix show with Shonda, it wasn’t a completely overwhelming terrifying feeling because I felt like I had earned my stripes.” They have helped in the difficult moments, and she says her experience on other shows has braced her for the limelight of Bridgerton. If you’re not interested, then someone’s interested in you.”ĭynevor’s Mom is a long-time star in ITV’s iconic soap opera Coronation Street, while her Dad is a screenwriter. So I may as well just do it how I want to do it, and not think about anyone else.’ That was quite a good thing,” she laughs, before drawing an appropriately romantic analogy: “It’s that thing of dating, isn’t it, where it’s a hard to get thing. “With Daphne, there was a huge part of me going, ‘This is my dream job, literally my dream role, but there’s no way I’m going to get it. This emboldened her in a way, and she was going into auditions thinking “f***k it” and taking bigger risks with characters. I was having that moment of, ‘Oh, gosh.’ I was starting to write and I was like, ‘Okay, I’m going to cast myself in my own thing.’ You have so many of those moments as an actor because it’s about talent obviously, but it’s mostly about being in the right place at the right time,” she explains. Other roles in Prisoners Wives, Dickensian, The Musketeers and Snatch followed, but Dynevor was becoming disillusioned with the business before Bridgerton came along. “I wasn’t working before Bridgerton for a long time. “It’s just a style thing, I think.”ĭynevor didn’t go to drama school, but has worked in television on and off for more than a decade, getting her first major credit on BBC classroom series Waterloo Road in 2009. “It was such an interesting dynamic working with him because we work quite differently, but it really brought out the best in each other and in our performances,” she adds. Dynevor says she and Page are “yin and yang,” although she is hesitant about being specific. I didn’t see my character’s new boyfriend’s face until we were filming a scene together, which was really bizzare,” she says of the shoot.īack to those rehearsals with Page (who has gone so stratospheric since Bridgerton landed that he is now being linked with James Bond), Dynevor hints that their connection took work. So you don’t take them off until you say action. “When I was filming, it was masks on in rehearsals. Dynevor says this was vital to the final performance and their chemistry could not have been achieved behind the shield of a mask, which is an experience she has had while filming TV Land’s Younger in New York last year. And it’s not just an issue when cameras are rolling: Daphne and Basset’s romps took six weeks of choreography and preparation with an intimacy coordinator. In other words, scenes that do not lend themselves to social distancing. The intimacy she refers to is a nod to Bridgerton’s steamy love scenes. Producers may have more confidence, with Production Weekly suggesting Season 2 could shoot in the UK from March. It just baffles me how we would film it under Covid rules unless there was a vaccine beforehand,” the actress explains. There are so many extras and so many crew members, and it’s a very intimate show. “I can’t imagine how it would be possible to film under these circumstances. The show, created by Chris Van Dusen, was a vast operation that toured around some of the UK’s most lavish stately homes, and Dynevor can’t really get her head around making the show under a protective layer of Covid safety protocols. Dynevor remembers the final few days on set being a “crazy” time, during which the ever-encroaching virus was a source of fevered discussion. I’m excited to find out.”īridgerton’s first season wrapped filming in the UK in February last year, mere days before production had to be abandoned across the industry because of the coronavirus pandemic. But yeah, I do wonder what it looks like. “I’m sure Daphne will end up getting involved. “I genuinely have no idea what they’re going to do with the second season, but I imagine if they’re following the books, then it would be Anthony’s journey,” she says over a Zoom call from her home in Manchester. SAG-AFTRA & Studios Negotiations To Continue Friday & Next Week Talks Proceeding "Calmly"Ī second season is yet to be confirmed, but it close to being announced by Netflix. That said, how we choose our marginally better word matters, too. At the most fundamental level, any alternative would be better than the deeply embarrassing, racist word that we currently use. This is to say that I have spent countless hours researching and thinking closely about exactly what a word means, or what is the best way to translate X concept into Y language, or for Z type of audience. I am a clinician, philologically trained translator of classical Chinese, and historian-in-training. One person’s opinion is not going to decide this for us. For this reason, each term needs to be looked at from many possible perspectives. It is further my hope that it will help readers cultivate an appreciation for the many different filters through which different people can see the world, let alone a single word. This paper presents a starting point for opening an informed discussion based on something other than personal opinions. This list of terms, and breakdown of some of their more salient associated issues, is by no means exhaustive. Collectively, it would seem, the moment has come for making long-overdue, necessary change.īut after determining to not use this word, what other word should we use? And more importantly, how do we make that choice? How might we, the professionals impacted by the name and public face of our craft get a say in making it? If practitioners wish to have a voice in the decision about how we redefine the AOM profession to patients and our broader communities, step one is educating ourselves about the pros and cons of commonly proposed alternative names. David Lee, the Academic Vice President of Alhambra Medical University in California, initiated a campaign among his peers to “repeal and replace” the word “oriental,” school by school, in school names and degree titles, with the goal of carrying this momentum forward into pressuring ACAOM and NCCAOM to do the same. acupuncture and oriental medicine (AOM) community remove this racist word from our professional discourse.
